REMOVE THE BLINKERS - STRENGTHEN THE LIFE SKILLS OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLES
Much of what we say to and do with children and young people has unintended effects, even when we mean well. It is these knock-on effects – the many rings in the water –that we possibly fail to see or notice in our daily hectic lives, but which can impact greatly on the well-being and development of children.
Anette Prehn takes you into a world that is less visible and reveals something quite different to what you may have initially thought. Luckily, only small adjustments are needed once you are aware of it.
It is about putting on sociological spectacles and exploring the world around you. This is an instructive book that provides many ‘aha’ moments– for individuals, but also on a structural level, once society’s inclinations are subjected to scrutiny.
